Link Between Hot Flashes and Breast Cancer

Is There a Link Between The Number of Hot Flashes and Breast Cancer?

Two studies recently have linked number and degree of hot flashes in menopause age women to a lower risk of breast cancer.

Both the National Cancer Institute and the National Institutes for Health presented findings that an crease in hot flashes or flushes may be an indicator that the patient has a lower chance of developing some of the common breast cancers. This is good news as 70 to 80% of women in America experience the dreaded hot flashes sometime during their transition into menopause.

There are many variables here. Menopause is  represented by a drop in estrogen and hot flashes are a result of declining hormone levels.   This is a natural process and may prove to be the indicator of breast cancer.
